Below are some figures I've gathered, and a screenshot from Andredamus1, that support the fact Zip US is an extremely strong growth company within the BNPL sector in the US.

I made this thread to bring light to the misleading statements AlphaX continues to bombard the entire forum with. He does this by cherry picking data, and using the Zip ANZ/US growth data amalgam and comparing it to Affirm's growth, which we all know is US only.

He then applies this comparison to the chances of success for Zip as a global brand. Yet he always delivers strong emphasis on the US market being the most important. Which is accurate of course. However, he always disregards Zip US's standalone growth figures in place of the aforementioned amalgamation of Zip ANZ/US, and therefore gives an inaccurate outlook on the potential for Zip to succeed in the US.

    ------------------------
    ------------------------

    Affirm (USD) YoY growth percentage:

    Q2 2021 - $204m - 57% increase.

    Q3 2021 - $230m - 67% increase.

    Q4 2021 - $261m - 71% increase.

Zip US (AUD) YoY and QoQ growth percentage:

    Q2 2021 - $47m - 207% --- QoQ - 119%

    Q3 2021 - $54m - 188% --- QoQ - 10%

    Q4 2021 - $64m - 280% --- QoQ - 18%

    Q1 2022 - $67m -174% --- QoQ - 8%

    ------------------------
    ------------------------

These are some figures I found for the best comparison I can get for Quadpay vs Affirm in yearly revenue growth for similar time periods, and they only date back through a year or so worth of reporting.

    Quadpay (AUD):

2020 FY - Some website said $70m? March quarter was $18m. Not sure what Q4 was. (I'll post screenshots below)

    2021 FY - $186m

If using $70m as a 2020 base, then that's about 170% growth for YoY revenue for Quadpay.

    Affirm (USD):

    2020 FY - $264m

    2021 FY - $509m

    93% increase.

    ------------------------
    ------------------------

These were some Afterpay FY figures with YoY growth I found to counter his statement saying that Zip's overall slowed growth meant it's up the creek. It's clear that Afterpay has also experienced overall slowed growth. I haven't checked, but their US business would of course show much stronger growth than their overall business.

    2021 - 78%
    2020 - 97%
    2019 - 86%
    2018 - 390%

    ------------------------
    ------------------------

This was just some recent FY overall figures. Not fully relevant in the context of the intention behind this thread, but it's here if anyone wants it:

    Affirm (USD):

    2019 - $264m
    2020 - $509m - 93% increase

    Zip ANZ/US (AUD):

    2020 HY - $69m
    2021 HY - $160m - 130% increase

    2020 FY - $161m
    2021 FY - $397m - 147% increase
