    Yup, 60-70-80k for plumbers, sounds about what couple of accountants told me. Depending on how much overtime and Saturday work they do.
    Fitters in Northern Territory? Hardly valid comparison. As you rightly pointed so.
    They get paid extremely well, and even then companies have hard time getting people to stay past 3 days.
    It's million degrees, in the middle of nowhere.
    They work 10-12 hrs a day. For 28 days straight with only one day off the entire time. Then they get week off, half of which they spend in transit home and back to work.
    Friend of mine did that for 2-3 years.
    He looks exausted, after 5 days off and it's time he has to had back to work.
    I wouldn't wish that on the worst enemy!
    Those guys deserve every cent they get.

    Teachers? It's insane to pay teachers 60k. Than expect them to work in areas where even rent is almost their entire pay.
    Something needs to be done there, I fully agree with you.
