I find it interesting that Kinghorn continues to buy AFG. It might just be that he thinks it is a good investment. However, as andybroady points out AFGHA looks like a safer bet / investment than AFG. (I certainly would buy AFGHA over AFG). The obvious advantage of owning shares is voting rights / control. So I am guessing there is an agenda there. And what's more I take comfort that such a large investor thinks that AFG will survive (in one form or another at least).
Also, the fact that Neil Lewis bought quite a few Allco notes gives me some comfort because he bought most of them at $30 and so clearly thinks they will pay at least that back.
Nothing is ever for sure but the buying by the above two does at least indicate that two people (who in theory should be quite close to the action) think AFG has a long term future.
