Allco's holding in AEP is a good example of why mark to market doesn't work.
AEP's share price is so low mainly due to it's association with Allco. The NTA of AEP was $5.50 at September 30 and is probably still over $4.50. A significant chunk of this NTA is CASH. Even in a firesale they would want to get more than the $1.80 it's trading at. $2.50 to $3.00 at a minimum IMO.
