The only thing that would stop China from dealing with the Taliban is if the rest of the world says "we are fussy about where you get your lithium, so if you want to deal with us, don't deal with them".
Other than that, I think it's clear China has no interest in human rights and wouldn't care what the Taliban does to it's people.
