    I know Taliban don't have the best record in this regard, but it will change for the better with time as the country opens up and develops.

    We have to remember that they've been very busy fighting endless wars with the Soviets and Americans (who corrupted then-government) so they had not been open and willing to adopt Western values or outlooks on lots of matters, women's rights being one of them and not on their war related agenda.

    Another thing is that, as their economy grows and unemployment decreases, eventually they will need to enlarge their workforce as they will be facing shortages - will have to let women work, at least in some sectors of their economy. I'm optimistic about their future as long as they align themselves with BRICS countries.
