IMO, the US has too much on its plate (China, Russia, Iran & Venzeuela economic sanctions) so it will leave Afghanistan to the Taliban white Uncle Sam plots a way to overthrow the Venezuelan regime, put some boots on the ground and give US Big Oil better bang for the US taxpayers buck.(a mini Iraq)
China is making overtures towards Venezuela already and the last thing that America needs is a strong Socialist country in its hemisphere .
If I were to be China I'd be trading military hardware & economic management for cheap oil & gas thereby with Venzeuela giving me a firm foothold within cooey of the USA & the Gulf of Mexico & as such , have a bargaining chip with the USA on the Tiawan handover. This could also lead to a "Cuban Crisis 2' IMO.
