"Excuse me for being ignorant but why do they develop a weapon then try to market that. Why not speak to prospective customers and find out what type of weapons they want then make them to order and have a guaranteed sale subject to minor ammendments and modifications."

That is exactly what they have done with the MAUL, the US were the ones who asked metalstorm to develop a stacked round electronically fired weapon that fired 12 gauge rounds, that is the US were the drivers of that technology, all metalstorm did was use what knowledge they had learned from the 3GL and modified it to a smaller weapon, and it is the fastest and lightest weapon of it's type, you tell me why we haven't made any sales? it may be due to certification of the ammo? but the US has stalled many times on giving us a full blown contract of any description, they have also prevented us from selling anything even remotely like the stacked round technology, I have a feeling that when the equity deal whith whom ever it may be is bedded down? you will miraculously see a number of large contracts appear out of thin air!
