AFI Overvalued???, page-36

I am not trying to scare anyone from holding AFI (or ARG) - they are both very old safe and well performed companies. Right now, the market has just been through (perhaps still going through) a highly volatile period and big, safe Listed Investment Companies are held more tightly than most shares. That is why they are at a large premium - they have no been sold off like much of the market has.

As a long term prospect the high and low premium/discount periods are not a problem. I had them backing my allocated pension and, having bought them at premium around 5% or less, just saw an opportunity to switch for a profit. Should the premiums reduce I might well swap back into them.
