I don't disagree with with your comments. Yes, the life span of 100% equities can vary drastically.

Don't discount future pressure on LIC's. Times are a changing and ETF's are cheap and they do what they say they do on the tin. There's a lot of older investors in LIC's and not everyone is looking for some sort of tax effectiveness because they're earning 400k per year in dividend payments - like Peter Thornhill.

I certainly agree that there can be a place in everyone's portfolio for a LIC in conjunction with ETF's. And that's why I'm still invested in a LIC. But I'm just saying, that on behalf of my kids, their money is being invested in ETF's. I understand the differences between dividends and distributions, but I can no longer tolerate the hypocrisy of a company such as AFIC?

I'm not about to sell out on my AFIC holdings. But I refuse to add to them any further.
