    You're totally missing the point.

Why should they get paid for not playing?

Others that have lost their jobs, get NOTHING,

so what makes overpaid, under performing footballers,

think they are entitled to a wage now?

Why haven't THEY saved some of their $300,000 a year wages?

To argue over a few dollars, for approx. a two months period,

reeks of desperation, and a lack of money in the bank.

Most are living the highlife, and surviving from pay day, to payday ????

So the AFL may not have saved anything for a rainy day,

but it sounds like the players haven't either .

An example, Qantas and Virgin have multi millions of $$$

Should they be paying anyone for not working?

Yet footballers feel they have a divine right to be paid ??

Just like hospitality workers that lose their jobs,

with NO PAY, so should footballers, no matter which gender,

or which code they play in.

Their greed in demanding a 50% wage while not playing,

will ultimately see the TOTAL DEMISE of two/three, cash strapped clubs.

To save their future playing careers, and their clubs existence,

they need to volunteer for a 100% pay cut, for as long as is required.
