It does or doesn't matter is simply an excuse made up by poor clubs to explain losing to a superior team. Are you insinuating beating Hawthorn in Round 5 doesn't matter, nor embarrassing you in the semi-final in 2014? It sounds to me you're really scraping the barrel to find excuses for being the laughing stocks of the AFL. Don't you have another season of choking to prepare for so you can once again be the laughing stock of the forums?

Adelaide are inferior to Geelong in many ways and are now further away than them to achieving a Premiership its a simple fact. Geelong also have been given the best AFL fixture in 2016 undeniably which will see them pressure everyone in the final series.
I might support a team that under-estimated poor opponents, but at least my team at their best are not constantly embarrassed by anyone in the finals series. Our best can beat anyone in the AFL whereas your best cannot beat half the competition, are we meant to be threatened by your weak side? You might want to kick it up a notch with the diving, whinging and pleading for free kicks if you want to break the top 4 this season. It worked for you last season.
