I grew up in Victoria and was a member of a club for years (until 5 years ago when it started getting ugly). AFL was a great game! But, I now declare that AFL is the ugliest game in sport...It is truly horrid.
Look at this score board from a game today...low scoring defensive rubbish.
Things that have led to this disgrace...
Constant changes to rules
Defensive zones that have killed positional play
Coaches who defend first and punish attacking flair
AFL interference of the on-field game rather than simply administering the competition
