Completely agree with you...the game is so boring that I can't remember the last time I watched a full game. Its just a rubbish product!
Too many rule changes from administrators have killed the game. IMO the biggest mistake the AFL made was after the success of the Ireland v Australia series many years ago, they decided to change a few rules to something more similar to what the irish were doing, thinking it will be more exciting. I think it has gone backwards since. Gone are the days of positional play, contested marks and possession, spec marks and 1 on 1 battles all over the field. Now its just 36 players following a ball like the under 8's do in little league.
I once loved the game and believed it was the best game in the world....but now sadly its just crap.
