Yes we have given the booze more than a nudge.
Don't take what I have said too personally. It is more directed against the farcical situation that exists with vic based clubs refusing to discuss the issues.
In the race of life self interest wins every time. Just that we have all had a gutsful of it.
just a few questions I'd like to ask.
1. How many times did collingwood(or any other vic club for that matter) have to travel this year?
2. How many times did the crows?
3. What are the stats of vic based umpires in melb for and against a non vic club?
4. Why did the crows cop two visits to perth, this year and last in round 22?
5. Why can't the crows get a game at the mcg during the minor round?
6. Why are the crows denied training sessions at optus?
7. Why are they so hospitable to vic clubs at home?(I don't think that will continue, however.
8. When Brian Cunningham (power) met with all clubs and forwarded a motion to change the appalling lack of fairness regarding home finals, not one vic club entered into the discussion let alone support such an inevitable move.Sorry one did and ex eagle now with Geelong. Why won't they renegotiate with the mcc and thereby ensure a fair comp?
9. Why are the vic media and commentators so parochial and uneducated about our great game?
10.Why are the majority of victorian football supporters similarly ignorant?
11. Why do 45% of victorians believe the competition is fair?
I could go on and on.
As far as I am concerned it was a battle of good against evil. The Lions won. It was a tight one but definitely not a great game. The is daylight between the Power and the Crows and then collingwood and Brisbane ofcourse dwarfs them all.
Unfortunately the Power didn't take collingwood seriously and paid the price. They would have beaten Brisbane in those conditions and so would have the Crows.
Happy Days!!! Yeehaa down with victorian football luddites!!!The true enemy of our great game....
