Using ladder, as it currently stands against last years final ladder (swapping St.K & Geel for 2nd & 3rd) & incorporating that Gold Coast now makes 17 teams (I have made assumption they finished 'last' last year), we can see how much each team has moved in their positions;

You can make arguments for those teams that finished down the bottom of last year's ladder have more chances to go up than down & vice versa.

Bit hard for Geelong to go any higher than they have!
