Polec is on record saying if port moved up just one more year things would have been different. Ports offered 3 years there was a club that offered him 4 years - he's going with North Melb that offered 5.
So we have one of ports best players a local ladleaving because port showed a total dis-interest in him for most of the year and only sheepishly came to the table when other teams started showing interest and even then there interest was left wanting. I guess port are full to the brim with all the star recruits they signed up that other teams dis-discarded. Another one for the shame shame shame file.
