Setting the mark/manning the mark, has become a joke. The kick around the corner allows players to set up/position themselves well off the line of what should be the alignment of the mark. (straight line from centre of the goals to where the free was awarded).
But if Buddy deviates left as is his historical approach/arc, then the umpire calls play on.
Players choosing to kick around the corner should be set on the correct alignment and the moment they move it should be called play on.
Don't get me started on their feeble attempts to bounce the ball, deliberate out of bounds, push in the back, incorrect disposal, bullshite 50m penalties/down field frees, clear marks not paid, where do I stop.
