It's healthy for the competition for each side to have it's turn to shine & as a consequence other teams fall off. It would be very boring if the same 4-6 teams made the GF each year.
After round 6 Dees / Bulldogs GF looks most likely, either side winning instead of Richmond, Hawthorn, WC, Sydney or Geelong would be a great outcome.
It would be great to Carlton or GC play finals this year, unfortunately it doesn't look like NM will be making the 8 for a long time!
