Not sure why any team would enact this tactic with so much of the game remaining?
In the last 2-3 minutes if you're 2 goals up yes but not with 10-15 minutes to go.
Seems to me that they lacked confidence in their own abilities to put the game beyond reach.
AFL is such a game of momentum, if you're ahead why not press the advantage?
