It 's like when a team is under pressure inside their own 50 & they have the ball in their hands.
Why do they just blaze away (to clear to ball) kicking the ball away to no one outside the 50 in the air when the opposition always seems to catch it for a mark?
The ball just goes straight back into the 50 again with another chance of a mark & easy kick on goal.
Why not clear the ball along the ground to get it out of the 50?
No mark taken & most likely a ball up outside the 50.
