My wife's nephew was contracted early as a young kid, a talented player.

Played in a Grand Final and later got a groin injury, because I believe he was pushed to hard before he fully developed and the club just dumped him.

Game over before age 20.

Guess as players age it becomes about the money.

Are they covered by Workcover?

I am sure that they would have to amour the players if they were.
