The more I see of the AFL the more I see it sucks on so many levels.
Welcome to country before you're allowed to buy a $20 pie, welcome to country before you can take a piss It used to be the people's game but not anymore, it's far too expensive The rules are a joke and lifelong supporters who have a feel for the game know the umpiring is shite The VFL treats its players like bloody slaves, it's brutal, it's demeaning, why would you go through it? The AFL is contrived bullshite.
Go and join a suburban club, a bush club, the star players will leave gobsmacked and in the main they're just good people to be around. Then there's the community atmosphere with the netties. It's an all round great day.
