Lever was never out. His injury during last weeks game was minor & they subed him out because the Dees were home & dry.

Great team effort from the Dees, they don't rely on individual performances to win. Rivers & Neil Bullen both had fantastic games, great performances from Viney, Petracca, Gawn, Oliver & Lever.
MacDonald looks like he never left the Defence, Langdon just keeps running all game.
Windsor & Billings also look like quality players.

I'd say the only player who under performed was Van Rooyen, even Brown looked like a different player from last year when he couldn't take a mark.

Dees proved they don't need May to win as they have such depth in tall backs with both MacDonald & Petty able to play forward or back. Still have Tomlinson in reserve as well.

The biggest problem with the Dees over the last 2 seasons has been when teams work out how to counteract their strategy they don't have a plan B to adapt to during the game. Saw that against Sydney in opening round again this year..

The Dees should still make the top 4 but I don't think they're quite good enough to win it this year.
