    Some interesting news from overnight:-

    The Australian Government has announced that the deposit guarantee scheme will be permanent

    The cap dropped to 250K per account per eligible financial institution. The timing of this announcement was a little unusual - it hit the wires on Sunday night around 5pm.

    I wonder if the timing is related to the following news piece:-

    Germany prepares to cut Greece loose

    The writing appears to be on the wall for more financial turmoil this week.
