My opinion that being invited to partner with IBM Q is not based on research done by IBM on Facebook.
Similarly, granting of patents globally is a complex process requiring both significant investment in time (5 years) and money, and, I'm assuming, some sort of due diligence by the respective patent countries.
Whether the technologies patented change the world is the gamble, but they are leading edge and they are real.
Any suggestion that it's just social media hype belies the last five years of setting goals, and then attaining them, that I've been watching for the last five years.
They include turning Archer from a mining stock to a tech stock, getting the right people on board, and getting worldwide patents. If you look back you will see it was planned a long time ago, and to my surprise, they are pulling it off. It's no small feat.
