    What about this example...When you go to a bank and deposit money into a savings account, are you told your money is being lent out and financed to cover somebody else's debt or mortgage?

    The businesses knew they were buying something. Did they read the small print, probably not?

    I'm not saying this is not dodgy, I'm saying let's get to the specifics of what happened.

    If you walk onto a car yard and take a car for a test drive, that's not committing to a purchase, but if you verbally agree to buy it or take if for a really long test drive, then yeah, it get's grey.

    As soon as a customer loaded the video on their website you could argue that's a purchase. Even if they saw a copy of the video you could also argue that was a purchase, like watching a movie without paying.

    This is why 'door to door' selling is banned in some countries. When the guy comes into your house and you start agreeing too all sorts of things it creates an environment of confusing.
