Boy, $500m of net cash back into's BBI's kitty, along with the reduction of gearing a 49% sale of DBCT would achieve for their balance sheet, would be a real godsend for BBI. Might even be a turning point for the company.
They could then get to work taking care of any short term cash commitments they need to satisfy, and maybe look at retiring upcoming bond debt. They could get a lot of monkeys off their backs with that money.
Also, I am not exactly sure how the interest on their debt is levied, but notwithstanding some increases due to a downgrade in their credit rating, surely their interest bill must be getting lower in the current environment. This must be helping cashflows.
