I have just read the AFR article in the weekend magazine on David Knox and his plans for Santos.

Knox wants to take sto from being "mainly an explorer" into the big time and his plan is to ship lng out of PNG and Queensland with partners at a cost of $20 billion dollars.

The article lists the company's three big deals last year... including the $478 million getting a stake in coal seam gas player esg.

If you read the article, you are left with no doubt that sto wants esg's gas and it has a plan to get it.

I tend to think that plan will reveal itself when sto makes its final investment decision on LNG out of Queensland around June.

I know people are getting frustrated and we expect to turn the corner and see light at the end of the tunnel... only to be confronted with more tunnel and another bend in the distance...

But the end of the tunnel isn't far away...

I strongly recommend reading the article... even if it's just to buoy your spirits while we wait for events to unfold.
