Good article in todays AFR about Alumininium, Alcoa and AWC. From memory-
Mainly about how Indonesia has started adding tariffs/taxing exports of bauxite to China this month, it supplys 80% of Chinas imports.
This has caused the price of Alumina(not the company) to stabilise and has started to increase in price as of late.
Basically points to a turn around in the Alumina/Aluminium industry the last paragraph states buying AWC shares is a high risk strategy but with huge rewards.
Not sure if buying AWC shares today is high risk at 90c. Ive been in since $1.50 averaging down so down a fair bit but happy to hold out of all my stocks this is the closest i have to a bluechip.
