This whole saga is a bad look for NSW government, MEL's recent court action and success against the government only goes to prove that.

The government has an image of anti business, paying out MEL to walk away from their prospects is not the solution for either party. Potential business investors would have to be seriously worried about putting any capital into a State that is so obviously inept.

The Government needs to start turning negatives into positives and the MEL debacle is the perfect opportunity for the dipsticks running the State to grow some balls and get off their backsides and actually start doing something that is pro active, legal and conducive to attracting business investment.

The Government needs some project wins, and the MEL debacle will haunt them for a long time if they let this fall into the mire. NSW needs the gas, it needs the economic benefits that come from projects like what MEL is trying to develop, it needs the jobs. It is just so freaking obvious.

NSW needs leaders who will open their eyes and act...now is the time for them to seize the opportunity to get behind projects like MEL's and demonstrate that NSW is open for business.
