How can ordinary investors do fact-check, when the publicly released figures might be fake?
I don't think they are fake after spending 5 days researching with the help of insightful posters here, but last Friday, I didn't have time to look into piles of past announcements.
The SP was collapsing 40%, many of us have work to do and don't have time to do research, what Shapiro suggested was so huge if it's true..... it was extremely hard to make a sensible and informed decision.
I was scared and felt the urge to make up my mind within a couple of hours.
Shapiro spent weeks on this and still wrote a misleading article full of insinuation, on the other hand, we were totally blindsided, given no time to look into the issue.
It's just not fair.

Mate!! You hit the nail right on the head there, and I'm sure that's EXACTLY how many of us investors felt on Friday. Great post. You should send it to Johnny Shapiro.
