I agree with your sentiments. They made the offer purely because they believe they can make a heck of a lot more by taking control.
I had hopes of a $15 to $20 SP within 4/5 years or sooner given the company and industry growth profiles.
The US acqs are no 1 in their categories as is Aus. Its a no brainer although shorts still do not think so.
Also i think the business was played down over the last 6 months prior to the offer being made.
Wonder what else will come out of left field??
Those buying now are looking for a good premium if it goes through at $6.60.
