I doubt they will act on anything soon - they might let the company suffer in low IO price for a few months and manipulate the price down so they can get cheaper.
Few big reasons to get in - the biggest is the port facility as they are looking to expand. There’s a lot of synergies they could get with AGO and I think they realise if a good operator like MIN operated the AGO assets they could drop $10/t out. The lithium tenements will be of use to them as they have previously tabled the idea of building a downstream processing plant in the Pilbara with feed from their wodgina mine. They are already in big with DSO operations and the largest shareholder in PLS - they will own a lot of the tenements in the northern Pilbara if they were to take out AGO
