I read the article in the AFR today. Couldn't believe that any journalist could get things so wrong. I rang the CDU office in Southport today and told them about the article and asked whether the company had an executive share scheme. The company advised they dont have one.

I have been a shareholder in CDU for 11 years, even before WM took it over. The AFR also says that CDU never been a producer. If I recall correctly CDU was producing copper in Cloncurry a few years back at another mine and sold it. Prior to that when it was Australian Mining Investments was in coal and gas production. Why do these jouno's just tell big porkies all the time. Some people and shareholders would make a commercial decision on that article and its all codwollop. Most of it just seems made up to me.

OZL bought back over $200m of shares at around $12 average and now $4, it they didnt get a mention. BHP bought around $500m not a mention of them either.
