MQG have put a lot into this and dont want it to slip away, but they should have been negiotiating of course prior to the vote. Cooper has called their bluff.

the question is really whether cooper is prepared to walk away from the deal or just upping the stakes to extract a higher offer. After all, if he will accept $3 and it takes a year for another offer to come along he is no better off. l think he and his mates want $3 NOW.

it doesnt look like trading will resume today, so we will wait and see if further discussions take place overnight.

my inclination would be to sit and hold on the basis that a likely deal will be brokered in due course.
