ASX-listed miner Promesa is expected to exit a trading halt on Monday and announce an offer to shareholders for a reverse takeover from Hong-Kong based start-up Thredit.
The reverse takeover, should it be approved by shareholders, will see Promesa's name change to Thredit and it's understood the company's mining assets will be shifted into a separate company.
Sources close to the deal said the company was aiming to raise about $10 million as part of an initial public offering.
Bell Potter is understood to be advising on the deal.
Promesa shares entered a trading halt last Wednesday and were trading at 0.006¢.
Thredit is run by Australian businessman David Whittaker who has a background in IT and recruitment and has been incubating technology start-ups in Hong Kong.
