Alex Malley?

We wont see another similar campaign because unlike Alex Malley, Gerry controls the board of a relatively functional company, who only occasionally dips into the company purse for the occasional farmland.

Alex took a not for profit board with a massive cash balance, paid himself squillions and then justified his salary by setting up a loss-making but intended-for-profit business in direct competition with the CPA charter. In doing so he risked the state governments removing a key function of the CPA not-for-profit model.

Gerry is conducting his own campaign against Amazon and the GST and any other perceived threat as he becomes more and more paranoid at what he views as a fast changing world. The only thing keeping him up at night would be that the company's main asset (property) isn't worth that much without a large pool of customers being attracted to the stores. But almost every HVN store has a full carpark on the weekend, and stocked full of items which sell.

The business isn't broken, but he is trying to make it great again. Sounds like he should be entering politics with this mindset.
