MAJOR
GBG imo being a take over target is pure speculation.
any other large ore producer has its own project expansions to worry about.
i dont think GBG management and the major shareholders will even consider any takeover proposals.
on the contrary, imo GBG being in a advanced project condition is more likely to be a take over predator than a take over target.
imo GWR, but putting aside management and major shareholder
consideration, would be a interesting target for GBG to make a bid for.
GWR resource base atm is unproven and lets face it midwest region hemetite resource body type is not really prime territory compared with the best of the pibara but combined with GBG other projects together as a whole could be a worthwhile cosideration for efficient operations by eliminating duplicity of overheads and infrastrucure fragmentation.
GBG on its own is blessed in have a very viable high quality stand alone magnetite project.
GWR unlike other midwest juniors as far as know dont have any project corporate agreements which would be a impediment to a takeover proposal.
ROY fe project take over by GBG is given.
AGO fe projects would also be a juicy target for GBG to grab at but i dont know who could throw a bigger punch, flanagan or jones. how ever flanagan stands alone and jones does have some very heavy weight ring side supporters. hmmm ??
MIDWEST consolidation is much talked about with no progress being made.
in a competive market place success comes from efficiency of operations which comes from low overheads and high volume output.
to achieve this goal the midwest should consolidate to compete with the pilbara giants.
it is encourageing to see top industry analysts predicting a rise in global steel prices due to ongoing increasing demand so ther may be standing room for every body at the bar.
