Another thing to consider about director share sales is that the BOD have been regularly selling shares since 2016 and it hasn't hurt the sales price, in fact it has jumped close to 10x since then and a number of the directors have been holding for many, many years.
If you have millions and millions of dollars in shares and aren't declaring a dividend, selling is one way to secure some lifestyle funding. This isn't necessarily a indicator of perceived weakness in the company's future - not in a2m's case anyway.
