A new Eritrean govt does not necessarily improve things. Take Egypt as an example. But things are ok in Sudan north and Sudan south.
I think Challice could take time out from Eritrea and watch Sunridge, Gipsland and South Boulder take and obtain finance. In hindsight didn't Chalice do remarkable well and get the money at the time they did. These other foreign explorers are in the mud.
I'm still baffled why super wealthy oil rich people from nearby countries are not financing these projects. Maybe mining is not their thing, or there is too much sovereign risk for them, or there are better opportunities in real estate or their bread and butter oil industries.
The existing Eritrean govt know Chalice have money, and one way or another would like to get some it. I don't think I will be putting my hand up for handing out anti govt leaflets in the towns and villages of Eritrea. 10 years in an underground prison wouldn't be much fun.
