Magnis owns 58% of IM3NY, which when in operation will produce Lithium-ion batteries at a gigawatt hour scale, positioning it as the 2nd largest plant in the US and in the top 10 plants in the world. Currently, 10 offtakes agreements are in effect and binding to date.

• The plant has existing infrastructure and equipment valued at US$71m with a $210m replacement value and has secured a New York State Government funding package of over US$13m.

• In additional to Magnis’s emphasis on the energy storage and EV end markets, their battery packs are essential components, currently being utilised in Martec’s defence grade products, which are distributed through material contracts with the US and British Governments.

• Magnis Partner C4V has developed fast charging batteries that are able to receive an 85% charge within 6 minutes. C4V are in a demonstration program funded by the NY State Govt with BAE Systems and Consolidated Edison.

• New York State Energy and Research Development Authority funded report completed by globally renowned Abt Associates reports batteries produced by iM3NY to be the greenest in the world.

• Magnis has commenced a program with the New York State Government to provide battery packs to demonstrate their fast-charging capabilities for public transit buses.

• Professor Whittingham, who was the original inventor of the lithium-ion battery and a subsequent recipient of a Nobel prize, now sits on the board of Magnis.

• C4V, in which Magnis has a 10% interest, will provide lithium-ion battery technology for the US Department of Energy that is focussed on a grid stabilisation project.

• C4V is the owner and inventor of patented technology that has been commercialised and ready to be massed produced via iM3NY

• C4V’s cathode technology is cobalt and nickel free but is high performing cathode product.

• Magnis’s long term vision for expansion in APAC will be executed through the Townsville plant, aiming to produce 18 gigawatt hours of annual production. The Queensland State Government

has already funded the feasibility study.

• The BFS has been completed at the 100% owned Nachu Graphite project and is shovel ready

with all mining and environmental approvals.

• Magnis is able to produce a 99.95% anode material without any chemical or thermal

purification making it the cheapest and greenest future product.
