Despite the best intentions of pioneering companies if your outlook falters in any way, or your knee touches the floor of the ring once or twice, the vultures will come and you will be kicked. If you don't survive the kicking all the better. It's how mobs work, and then fade back into the dark - a lot like looters really. I can think of some alleged investors who would be the first in with the boot, given a chance. (all in anonymity of course).
