My guess is that they have it ready to go but been waiting for the please explain from the ASX. It's a huge call to respond to a negative press statement as any statement made could add fuel and be made out to be just a desperate attempt to manipulate the SP.
Could be more to do with the ASX 200 index fund managers bailing out than this maybe story.
