There won't be any new shares or new options, that's why they extended the payment date and issue of shares. It's a done deal before then and the rights issue won't go ahead!
BTW who was stupid enough to have already send UMC a cheque or BPAY'ed their funds to UMC?
Wouldn't you demand your money back knowing now you don't have to cough up until Dec, in a rights issue that won't happen?
