I think this is good news in that ppx may be starting to cut costs everywhere they can. And employee costs are huge.

Everyone in that dodgy co needs to take responsibility for such a parlous position the co is in.

Sure, a few good performers may miss out, but I bet there's lots of bonuses paid which aren't deserved as well. Just because employees have got them year after year and know how to play the game.
