    Maybe it is a hybrid of both elluvial and alluvial , guessing millions of years ago the diamonds formed under pressure got forced up to the surface , rolled down hills that have now eroded away (ellluvium) and since have washed down to paleo channels and current river beds .
    As you can guess I am not a Geo just a pacifier .
