    We do know that discussions took place prior to 20/04/2011, between Exco, IVA & Xstrata.

    From the IVA clarification to the CCP transaction 20/.04/2011.

    "Ivanhoe had previously proposed to both Exco & Xstrata Copper Management an alternative transaction, under which Ivanhoe would have acquired a direct interest in parts of Exco's exploration portfolio"
