You and me both - the longs and shorts and the numbers aren't that easy to pull apart but what we can see is that the majority of bets are being made between $5.75 & $6.25 which makes sense given we are around $6 so it could go to $5.75 and it could go to $6.25 or it might stay around $6 - but the major numbers that pushed this down into the 4's aren't there at the moment - just checked the asx options and again the sp's attracting the most recent bets today for contracts expiring the 26th of Nov:
$5.25 - 20 volume - PUT
$5.50 - 104 volume- CALL
$5.50 - 30 volume - PUT
$5.75 - 1,859 volume - CALL - gives the buyer the right to buy 100 shares for $5.75 on or before the 26th November.
$6.00 - 50 volume - PUT
$6.25 - 2,746 volume - CALL - gives the buyer the right to buy 100 shares for $6.25 on or before the 26th November.
$6.50 - 185 - CALL
$7.25 - 128 - CALL
$8.00 - 73 - PUT
Interestingly 1,859 * 100 are betting the sp will go lower than $5.75 but 2,746 * 100 are betting it will go higher than $6.25...options are traded in 100 lots in the main which is why the * 100.
