bungy, a track mounted machine will in all likelihood fare much better in the wet and treacherous ground conditions than a wheeled machine of similar size. In days gone by in the Lower South West of WA we had 80 inches + of rain in winter that would restrict logging to tracked machines ( FMC skidders, track loaders and bulldozers ) These machines could work far more effectively and in difficult terrain that was saturated, where a wheeled machine was long ago parked up waiting for dry ( drier ) conditions. My money is on the tracked drill anyday.
